Bhubaneswar, Sept 8: Students of Plus-II across Odisha are in a state of darkness for their carrier as the School and Mass Education Department have failed to provide date for the first year examination.

It has been two months since the separation of the Plus-II courses, but till now no notification has come out regarding the possible date of the examination.

On the other side, it seems like introduction of CBSE pattern syllabus has turned out to be a big failure as sufficient classes are not being carried out by CBSE colleges.

Informing regarding the CBSE syllabus, School and Mass Education department, Ranjan Chopra informed that, the number of classes required to complete the courses will be finalized soon.

All the preparation has been done by the government and it will take some time to conduct the first year examination, said the chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education, Basudev Chatoi.

Lecturers of government colleges have been taking 25 classes per week, though as per the CBSE pattern it has to be 70-80 classes per week. Thus, this has created obstacle for completing the course on time.
