CB to investigation obscene remarks case of RD girls on FB: CM

Bhubaneswar, Mar 27: Today a team of students of three women’s educational institutions met the Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here thus demanding to initiate stringent action immediately against the persons involved in posting obscene remarks against the students of Rama Devi along with their photos on Facebook. To this, Patnaik ordered the State Crime Branch to investigate the matter and take stringent action against the accused.

Notably, A group of girls of Ramadevi Women’s University here had lodged a complaint at Saheed Nagar police station on Saturday alleging that abusive comments with their photos with captions have been posted on Facebook through a FB account named as ‘Aarohi Creations’ which is owned by a person named Sujit Sahoo. The girls have alleged that Sujit Sahoo is behind the crime. Some fellow girls might be involved in it, they suspected. From preliminary investigation it is stated that Aarohi Creation does not belong to Saheed Nagar area. A case has been registered under the IT Act and once investigtion is done, the truth will be known to all. This was informed by DCP Satyabrat Bhoi.
