CBI grills Daniel, chief coordinator of OCA suspecting link in age fudging case

Cuttack, Aug 24: On the basis of age fudging scam, the CBI on Wednesday interrogated Daniel Rout for around three hours who is the Chief Coordinator of Odisha Cricket Association at the OCA office, suspecting his involvement in age manipulation. During the interrogation, some documents related to Rout were also seized by the three member team of CBI and alongside the cops have also conducted interrogation on some other OCA’s officials.

On Tuesday, the CBI had visited the OCA office and interrogated some players. They grilled the staffs of Private nursing homes, where test and document verification regarding bone age assessment was being conducted. The probing team also verified the documents of about 36 players, including Subham Nayak, son of OCA CEO, who have allegedly manipulated his age for playing under-19 matches. The probing team visited Cuttack Municipal Corporation office to verify the Date of Birth certificate of these 36 players.

In his statement, Asirbad Behera, OCA secretary sited that cricket sport body would provide full support to the CBI.
