CBI questions Jayasingh for 4 continuous hours

Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: On the basis of the information given by the AT Group Chief Pradip Sethy to CBI during interrogation, the Crime Branch on Thursday questioned Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Minister, Sanjay Das Burma’s brother-in-law, Satyapriya Jayasingh, for around four hours at the agency’s office in Bhubaneswar.

Following a notice served by the CBI on August 8, suspecting upon some financial deals of a company headed by him with the Artha Tatwa (AT) group, Jayasingh appeared before the CBI to record his statement under Sec 160 of the CrPC.

Informing the media, Jayasingh, director of the Team Media and Hospitality Pvt Ltd said that, CBI asked him about the transfer of money to the Team Media and Hospitality and he was also asked questions related to the Artha Tatwa chit fund case. He further said that he has given all the information to the CBI to carry out further investigation.  

Notably, according to sources, Pradip Sethy, during interrogation, had mentioned about the amount transferred to the Team Media and Hospitality Pvt Ltd from the AT Group.
