Central Team LED by Health Minister visits Odisha to review dengue situation

Bhubaneswar, July 16: Union Minister of State of Health, Faggan Singh Kulaste informed that a Central team would soon visit the affected areas of the state to review the dengue condition in the state.

Kulaste arrived in Bhubaneswar yesterday to attend the fourth foundation day of AIIMS on Saturday. He informed he would discuss with officials of the health department about how to restrict the spread of dengue in the state.

Though it is the responsibility of the state government to restrict the spread of dengue in the state, Centre would also take up the outbreak of dengue in Odisha, Kulaste informed media persons and he sought for a central team to visit the affected areas to review the situation, so that on the basis of the review report assistance can be provided to affected people.

On Friday, Madan Mohan Pradhan, Joint Director of Health Department visited the industrial area at Jagatpur and inspected the factories and industries operating there.

After reviewing the sanitation facilities of factories, Pradhan ordered to perform fogging in the area and to clean their surroundings to restrict mosquito breeding there.

Prakash Chandra Behera, MLA of Cuttack-Salepur also made a visit to a number of industries on Friday, and discussed possible ways to restrict the spread of dengue with the Jagatpur Industries Association and also said that all assistance would be provided.
