Bhubaneswar, Nov 3: In efforts to curb Maoist menace in several parts of the country, Centre has convened a meeting of officials from left-wing extremism-hit districts of states.
The district Collectors and Superintendents of Police of 35 districts in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Telangana are participating in the meeting on Tuesday.
Officials from naxal-hit Malkangiri and Koraput districts will attend the meeting to discuss security related interventions, development initiatives, ensuring rights and entitlements of the forest dwellers and management of public perception.
