Bhubaneswar: May 06: Chaudhary Ajit Singh passed away on Thursday morning due to COVID infection. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Gurugram after he tested positive.

He was the founder and chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal and Son of former Prime Minister of India late Chaudhary Charan Singh.

He was Minister of Industry in V.P.Singh’s Cabinet from Dec 1989 to November 1990 and also he served as Minister of Food in P.V.Narasimha Rao’s Cabinet.

From 2001 to 2003, he was Minister of Agriculture in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Government. Also, he was a minister in UPA government  from 2011 to 2014.

As reported, Chaudhary Ajit Singh was diagnosed as COVID Positive on 20th April.

At the time of death, he was 82 years old.
