Bhubaneswar: May 20: The Orissa High Court declined to grant bail to Chilika MLA Prashant Jagdev. On March 12, Chilika MLA rammed his SUV into a large crowd outside a block development office in Odisha’s Khurda district.
The incident left 22 persons, including seven police personnel, injured. The irate crowd dragged and assaulted Jagdev and vandalized his car.
Further, he was also in hospital for some days. He was arrested on March 22. At present, he is on interim bail which will come to an end on May 23.
