China’s Zopo aims at 10 pc market share by FY16

BHUBANESWAR, JAN 17: Chinese smartphone maker Zopo aims to reach 10 percent of the mobile device market in Odisha by the end of the current financial year. 

“We look at Odisha is a strategic market for us and hope to build a long term relationship with our retailers in the region,” Sanjeev Bhatia, Founder & CEO of Advantage Computers India Pvt Ltd (Adcom) told newsmen here on Saturday, 

Adcom has has formed a marketing, distribution and service centre alliance in India. 

“At Adcom, we are committed towards providing best on-ground support to ZOPO as their flagship partners,” Bhatia added. 

He said Zopo would launch itself in 100 cities in India in the next three months. 

As many as nine models of Zopo smartphones, with price range of Rs 5499 to Rs 14000, would be available in Bhubaneswar through a strong network of 40 retailers at present. 

The company would expand its sales network to other towns namely Nayagarh, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Balasore Jharsuguda and Angul by the end of the current fiscal, informed company sources adding that it aims at selling at least 2000 units of handsets in Bhubaneswar per month.
