Cuttack, Dec 22: Today in front of the office of the Director General of Police, a clash erupted between the police and the BJP activists when the latter was trying to barge into the office of the DGP here. The activists of the outraged party conducted a rally from the Odia Bazaar thus protesting against the attack on its activists yesterday at the Bhubaneswar bandh and also made an attempt to break the cordon ahead of the DGP office.
The protestors stated that miscreants had attacked the striking BJP activists after getting full cooperation from police and so they demanded immediate arrest of those miscreants and killers involved in Rishi’s death and resignation of Bhubaneswar Mayor Anant Narayan Jena. The armed forces who were present at the spot spoilt the attempt of the BJP members to intrude into the building thus leading into the clash. Around 8 platoons of police personnel had been deployed ahead of the DGP office while another 18 platoons of police were there at the premises of the police headquarters.
