Bhubaneswar, Aug 22: CM Naveen Patnaik on Saturday gave away free laptops to meritorious students along with prizes to successful girls in the self-defence programme at college levels.
The event took place at the Jaydev Bhavan here where Patnaik said that the youth empowerment programme launched in 2013 is a part of his government’s ceaseless efforts for all round development of the youth in the state. Remembering his father and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik’s dream, Patnaik said Biju Babu had entrusted trust on youth power. His contribution for the youth mass is really commendable. He also said his government has always given priority on women’s empowerment.
Higher Education, Science and Technology and Rural Development Minister Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy, MP Prasanna Patsani were present at the occasion.
