CM inaugurates first Odisha Art Conclave-2016

Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: In order to provide a stage to the artists of the State to showcase their creative imagination, the first Odisha Art Conclave- 2016, organized by Ila Panda Centre for Arts (IPCA) was inaugurated by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday.

At the two-day long conclave, around Odisha’s 40 famous artisans presented their creative paintings.

An Odia book, ‘Mo Jibanare Rupa ra Prabhaba’ was also inaugurated by the Chief Minister during the event.

For significant contribution to promotion and propagation of tribal and folk art forms, two artisans named Bhanu Nayak of Kalahandi and Lakshmidhar Mohapatra of Ganjam were felicitated in the conclave.

Bhubaneswar MP Prassana Patsani, MLA, Priyadarshi Mishra, renowned painter Jatin Das, chairman of advisory committee Sitakant Mahapatra, IPCA’s trustee Paramitra Mohapatra were also present at the conclave.
