Bhubaneswar: The death of former Union Minister Debendra Pradhan was condoled by CM Mohan Majhi, LoP Naveen Patnaik and several other leaders. Union Minister Devendra Pradhan also happens to be the father of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi condoled the death and wrote on his official X handle in Odia that roughly translates into, “I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of former Union Minister Devendra Pradhan. The late Pradhan was a popular public leader and an able parliamentarian.”
He further wrote, “As the State BJP President, the late Pradhan made a significant contribution to the development of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Odisha with strong leadership. He dedicated his entire life for the development of the state with a spirit of service and determination. With the demise of this veteran personality, the country and the state have lost an eminent public servant. His contribution to the welfare of the people and the development of the state will always be remembered.”
“My deepest condolences to his son and Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and the entire family. May God give them the strength to bear this terrible loss. I pray for the peace of his soul in the afterlife, ” the CM wrote and concluded.
