CM reviewed Dengue situation; Department coordination necessary to handle

Bhubaneswar, July 21: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday at the Secretariat advised the concerned officials to speed up the sanitation process of both industrial and residential areas on reviewing the dengue situation in the state and also said that coordination among the Health, Industries and Urban Development department is required to get away with alarmingly increasing dengue consequences. He further added to intensely create awareness campaign regarding dengue in the state.

After the review meeting, Atanu Sabyascahi Nayak, Health Minister, informed about declining rate of dengue patients in Barbil to media persons. And also said that Industries department is seriously looking after the problem in Jagatpur Industrial area and for this a state level task force has been created.

It is to be noted that, the number of dengue patients been identified till now is 1,574 having its maximum from Barbil and Jagatpur Industrial area. It has taken 3 lives and 678 patients are undergoing treatment while 504 have been cured.
