Bhubaneswar: May 15: Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik reviewed the performance of ‘Odiya Language, Literature and Culture Department’ at State Secretariat and asked to set up Odiya Language Chair in the Central University, Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh and Gandhinagar University in Gujarat.
Odisha has already set up Odiya Language Chair at Jawaharlal Nehru University and Banaras Hindu University.
Chief Minister has also asked the department to take steps for the establishment of ‘Central Institute of Classical Odiya’ soon as Odiya Language has already got the classical status.
