CM’s Independence Day speech declares resolving of Mahanadi Issue soon

Bhubaneswar, Aug 15: While addressing the State-level 70th Independence Day celebration in Bhubaneswar on Monday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik remembered the great souls of India. He mentioned that no States should exercise unilateral rights over inter-State rivers by constructing barrages and the State Government is working efficiently to resolve the Mahanadi water dispute with the neighbouring State.

The Chief Minister also said that the participation of the six Odia girls in Rio Olympic 2016 is a matter of pride and congratulated them.

He further informed that steps have been taken to make Odia as official language and additional 3 lakh beneficiaries were included in Madhu Babu Pension Yojana from today itself.
