Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: The second plant of steel major Tata Steel in Kalinganagar area here will be inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
The plant on 2200 acre land has been set up at an investment of Rs 25,000 crore to produce six million tonne per annum.
The steel major had inked a MoU with the Odisha government for the plant in November, 2004.
The district administration has beefed up security arrangements in Kalinganagar area as this will be the first visit of the chief minister after the 2006 firing incident.
