New Delhi: July 07: After returning from Kazakhstan, confident Dutee Chand expressed her desire to bag a medal in the Rio Olympics for her state and country.
Dutee was looking very happy as she got the ticket to Olympics and while talking to media, she thanks everybody for the support and wishes.
Notably, the Indian 4x100m women’s relay team created a new National record at the Kazakhstan National Athletics Championships, clocking 43.42 second earlier today at Almaty. The Indian women’s relay team bagged the silver medal at the Almaty meet after starting off the blocks through Joseph, who was followed by Jyothi and Nanda respectively with Dutee anchoring the finale leg. Hosts Kazakhstan took the top honours, with a timing of 42.92 sec.
But, there was a disappointment for Dutee Chand in the women’s 200m at the Kazakhstan National athletics championship, though she won the silver medal. Her time of 23.69 seconds was much slower than the Rio Olympic entry standard of 23.20 seconds in the event.
