New Delhi, Apr 1: Congress leader, Digvijaya Singh today, on being annoyed for being ridiculed by BJP leader and Goa CM, Manohar Parrikar in the Parliament, called the latter ‘power hungry’ and a ‘cheat’. Yesterday Parrikar extended his thanks to the Congress leader for letting him become the CM of Goa, sarcastically meaning that the Congress leader though winning most of the seats in Goa could not form a government in the state. He also stated within the protests from several Congress MPs in the House that he thanks the leader for having a tour in the state so that he could form the government.
To this, today, Singh gave a taunting reply sighting the accusations repeatedly that the Congress had levied last month that the BJP ‘bought support’. The Congress leader very enthusiastically slammed the former defence minister. His tweets were,
If he has to thank anyone it is Nitin Gadkari who did aggressive MLA Shopping on 12th March early morning from Hotel in Goa..
Shame on you Mr Parrikar and your hunger for Power. You have cheated the People of Goa. Apologise to them..”
He also lashed onto the Governor on charges of volating Constitutional norms as letting BJP form the government even if it did not won the majority of seats,
“And Governor Goa who violated Constitution Sarkaria Commission guideline & Supreme Court decisions and robbed the mandate of People of Goa..”
Parrikar had been ridiculing Singh from the day he was chosen as the CM. The BJP managed to win in the Goa Assembly although it did not win the most of the seats.
