Bhubaneswar: November 07: Senior Congress Leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra, known as Lulu Mohapatra, passed away at a private hospital in Gurgaon tonight. He was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis and was under treatment in Medanta Hospital since last three weeks. His condition deteriorated after 7.30 pm today and finally, he breathed his last around 10 pm. Born on February 14, 1964, Mohapatra was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from Brahmagiri Assembly constituency in the year 1995, 2000 and 2004. Condolences poured in from party colleagues and political rivals alike after the news spread. “Heartbreaking moment having lost a elder brother a guide and a great leader. #riplulubhai,” tweeted Odisha Congress Vice President Pradeep Majhi.
