Bhubaneswar, March 14: The Pradesh Congress Committee has threatened to raise the issue of failure of the State government on all fronts and organize mass campaigns.

The Executive Committee meeting on Sunday resolved to launch intensified campaign to highlight the failure of the ruling BJD on issues such as faulty agriculture policy, irregularities in National Food Security Act ration cards, State government plan to hike power tariff and witch-hunting of opposition leaders.

PCC chief Prasad Harichandan, told newsmen here that the ruling BJD has failed miserably in the past sixteen years and has only been bluffing the people of the state for the past sixteen years.
Harichandan alleged that the State government has only been attempting to hijack welfare schemes initiated by the UPA government and renaming them.
He said both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik have been trying to fool the people of the State by making false promises.
“None of their commitments have been visible despite long waits,” he said.
On agriculture front, both the State and Centre have failed to deliver while the State government has missapropriated Rs 2000 core aid from the Centre, the PCC chief alleged.
He said the PCC Executive expressed grave concern over the non fulfillment of announcements made by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the farmers at his meetings.
He said the party demands Rs 2500 per quintal minimum support price for paddy and Rs 300 bonus to the farmers.
He regretted that the minimum premium of the insurance scheme for the farmers is yet to be announced despite the fact that the Prime Minister had announced long ago.
Harichandan urged all the democratic and secular parties to join hands to defeat the BJD in the ensuing Panchayat election in State to save the people of the State from misrule of BJD.
