New Delhi, Nov 18: A total length of 4148 km out of 5422 km roads have been completed in the States of Telengana, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh till Oct 31, 2016.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has requested State Governments to constitute District Level Coordination Committee headed by District Magistrate comprising of District Superintendent of Police, Central Armed Police Forces, State PWD and Contractor to plan and proceed with the area domination by Armed Forces, in the areas affected by law and order problems.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Shri Pon. Radhakrishnan in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha yesterday.
