Pipili, Mar 29: It had been just a few hours that the Pipili toll plaza resumed collection of toll that the police again closed it down saying that the toll gate authorities had started functioning without taking the permission of district administration.

The toll plaza had remained closed for around two weeks due to the damage created by the miscreants on Holi. The toll plaza had resumed functioning in the morning of collecting toll from heavy and light vehicle on Bhubaneswar-Puri highway. Toll collection was severely affected as two groups of locals of Seula village under Pipli police limits clashed with each other thus damaging the toll furniture such as computers, CCTV cameras and toll bars. It’s stated that the violence had occurred following a scuffle between youths of Seula and Ujanipada villages that happened on Sunday, Mar 12.   Employees of the toll gate were also attacked as most of them belonged to Ujanipada.
