Jajpur, Apr 2: In a tragic road mishap, a couple belonging to Kalinga Vihar of Bhubaneswar were killed, while 4 others sustained severe injuries after a truck hit the car they were travelling. While the dead have been identified as Simanchal Panda and wife Basanti Panda, the injured victims of the somber happening are yet to be identified, said sources.
Notably, the six were on a trip to Ghatagaan, to pay a visit to goddess Tarini, when a constructional truck on the NH 215 in the district collided with the car and thus bringing a sorrowful moment for the pilgrims. The injured were admitted to the Jajpur CHC and later were shifted to the SCB at Cuttack after their conditions deteriorated.
