India registered a single-day rise of 1,17,100 new Covid cases on Friday. On Thursday, it was 90,928 cases.

In the second wave, it had taken 47 days to reach the 1 lakh level from a tally of 10,000 daily cases whereas in third wave, it has taken 8 days’ to reach one lakh daily cases from 10,000-mark. In the first wave, it took 103 days to reach 1 lakh daily cases from the 10,000 cases a day.

30,836 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 3,43,71,845.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.57%.

India’s Active Caseload is presently at 3,71,363. Active cases constitute 1.05% of the country’s total Positive Cases.

During last 24 hours, 302 patients succumbed to the disease and total death toll (since the beginning of the pandemic) increased to 4,83,178.

The last 24 hours saw a total of 15,13,377 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 68.68 Cr (68,68,19,128) cumulative tests.

While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 4.54% and the Daily Positivity rate also reported to be 7.74%.
