Puri, Jan 21: In an amazing decision by the Puri district administration, the committee has decided to completely withdraw the need for a Covid test report to enter the Shree Mandir premises from 21st of January.

According to sources, the Locals from Puri will be allowed for the Darshan from 6am to 7am everyday, while outsider can visit the temple anytime after 7am. Special Arrangements have also been made to smoothly facilitate the visit of 30,000 devotees everyday, except Sundays, which will be a “NO ENTRY DAY’ for the Public.

However, the devotees have to enter the 12th century shrine after a thorough process of sanitisation and thermal scanning. A special queue for the old age and the Handicapped is also being planned, said Shri Abhay Kumar Jena, Srimandir development administrator. The temple will be closed for devotees for sanitation works on every Sunday.

Meanwhile, 26 platoons of Security forces, along with 2 ASP, 7 DSP & 20 Inspector rank officers have been deployed at the Temple for a hassle free Darshan.
