CP makes preventive measures for Diwali in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar Nov 11: The commissionerate police in Odisha capital city have beefed up preventive measures during the celebration of festival of lights Diwali on Wednesday.

It issued specific instructions to the cracker shop owners that they shold not sale high-decible crackers.

It put fire tenders on high alert for any fire mishap during the festivity.

There will be special deployment of police at sensitive locations in the city during Diwali. Besides, to keep tabs on drunken driving and hooliganism, police officers of respective police stations will be pressed into service and monitor the proceedings in their jurisdiction.

The city’s premier hospital Capital Hospital has made all arrangements to treat patients who might be rushed with burn injuries.

This year, more than 800 cracker shops under the Bhubaneswar Urban Police District have been provided with license to sell crackers.
