Nayagarh, Sept 24: In the tragic incident on Friday where two persons died and 13 sustained injuries due to a cracker factory explosion in Tantisahi of Itamati in Nayagarh, the death toll reached to six today as three persons succumbed to their injuries at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack early this morning while undergoing treatment.
While one deceased identified as Artha Sahu had died on the spot, the other deceased Yogendra Muduli died at the SCB hospital yesterday.
Reportedly, at around 5 pm yesterday evening, the cracker factory caught fire which led to an explosion. After getting information, police reached the spot and began the investigation. However, the reason behind the explosion is yet to be discovered.
Meanwhile, the owner of the factory has been detained by the police for questioning.
