Cuttack, Sept 27: In the tragic incident on Friday where two persons died and 13 sustained injuries due to a cracker factory explosion in Tantisahi of Itamati in Nayagarh, the death toll reached to seven today as a person identified as Gurubari Mohapatra succumbed to his injuries at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack early this morning while undergoing treatment at the plastic surgery ward of the hospital.
While one deceased identified as Artha Sahu had died on the spot, the other deceased Yogendra Muduli died at the SCB hospital on Friday, four succumbed to their injuries at the hospital during treatment on Saturday.
Notably, at around 5 pm on Friday evening, the cracker factory caught fire which led to an explosion.
