Malkangiri, Sep 3: The issue of Dana Majhi is yet to die down but another man carrying his daughter’s body in his arms has again hit the state of affairs in the state. It’s stated that the localites of Nayakguda area here yesterday, witnessed a couple carrying their seven-year-old deceased daughter named Barsa Khemudu on their arms after being allegedly disembarked by a 108 ambulance.
Barsa was admitted to the Mathili Community Health Centre on Thursday night. But seeing her condition deteriorating, doctors there suggested to shift her to the Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital. The ambulance service rushed her to the hospital in a critical condition but unfortunately she breathed her last on the way to the hospital. On her death, the ambulance staff asked the couple to get down midway. With this incident being the third in a fortnight, a district administrator has refuted such allegation. He has lodged criminal cases against three persons, the driver, district coordinator and the attender for negligence on duty.
