Bhubaneswar, Sept 26: Today some unknown criminals impelled a crude bomb in the premises of Odisha’s famous BJB College here. It’s stated that the miscreants threw the bomb from the outside college boundary wall. Explosion occurred near the Science Block. As a result, panic stricken students started to run helter skelter. Classes were suspended immediately. After getting information, Badagada Police reached the premises and began investigation. Although the reason is yet to ascertained, it is suspected that the mishap occurred due to the pre-election violence.
Notably, two student groups of the college belonging to Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) had faced off on August 8 pertaining to a college poll issue. Police had arrested some of the students in connection with the incident that night.
