New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, Apr 13: The Bhadrak unrest has just calmed down that had been triggered by the post of some obscene comments on Lord Ram and Sita Devi, that Union culture minister Mahesh Sharma came up with another controversy in the Rajya Sabha stating the fact that Sita is a matter of faith and there is no historical evidence regarding the existence of Sita. This triggered an argument with the opposition members where BJP stated that lord Ram is also a faith too if the same logic is applied. Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that they respect Lord Ram and worships him and hence the minister’s reply is proofed to be disturbing. He further stated that the house demands an apology from the minister for insulting Devi Sita and the woman in general. Janata Dal (United) parliamentarian Anil Kumar Sahani also joined the protest. Singh further said that the Central Government has reached this place today on the back of Ram movement still they say that Sita`s existence is a matter of faith. Notably, Bhadrak tension was created because of the defamatory remark posted about lord Ram and Sita on Facebook that led to the declaration of curfew in the town for five days.
