Bhubaneswar: May 16: Permanent Campus of Utkal University of Culture finally inaugurated today at Madanpur near Jatni on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. Chief Minister Naveen Patanik and Governor S.C. Jamir inaugurated the new campus here on Monday. Ashok Chandra Panda, State Tourism and Culture minister was also present at the occasion.
The Madanpur Campus was scheduled to be inaugurated in November by President Pranab Mukherjee, but the Programme was cancelled as construction work could not be completed in time.
Classes will begin at the new campus from next year. The old campus of the varsity located at Unit-II will now be used as a City centre of the University..
