Sambalpur, Jan 4: Today in river Mahanadi at Marawadipada ghat here, some old currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomination were spotted floating. The locals informed the cops after spotting the notes no-long in use. After getting information, the cops arrived at the spot and seized the shredded old notes. The reason behind dumping the notes is being investigated.
