Kendrapara, Mar 9: Yesterday afternoon thunder-squall caused damage at Penthapal and Kolathia villages under Pattamundai Tehsil here. Around roofs of more than 40 houses were ripped off and huge trees fell across roads at various places. Severe winds and heavy rains following the storm increased the damage in the two villages. Pattamundai Tehsildar, Banamali Tarai on taking note of the situation said that Penthapal village is the most effected while two houses have been destroyed in Kolathia. The report has been submitted to the District Collector and the latter has assured to take necessary actions for the same.
