Bhubaneswar, Sept 24; The Odisha government told the assembly on Saturday that Dana Majhi while leaving Bhawanipatna district Headquarters Hospital (DHH) had not asked for any help to take his wife’s corpse from the hospital. However, during the zero hour, the Congress leader Tara Prasad Bahinipati urged Niranjan Pujari, Speaker of house for a House committee formation for an impartial investigation in the incident.

A detailed investigation in this matter is required so that in future no similar incident occurs, informed Bahinipati. He also rejected the statement given by the Health and Family Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak in the Assembly on Friday.

Nayak had furnished the report of the Kalahandi Chief District Medical Office (CDMO) in the Assembly on Friday which stated that no help or assistance had been sought by Dana Majhi on August 23.

Meanwhile, a staff nurse named Rajendra Rana and the security agency of the hospital have been dismissed from duty on the basis of this incident.
