Rayagada, May 18: Today, a dangerous Maoist named Gembali Chinarao aka Santu has been charged of 10 years of strict imprisonment by the Rayagada District and Sessions Judge in connection to two cases. A penalty of Rs 50k has also been levied against him. If he becomes a defaulter, then he would have to spend six months more in jail. The verdict came after the interrogation of seven witnesses. Notably, on May 7, 2013 Santu was arrested from Phulkana during a raid conducted by the Rayagada police. The police also seized a 9 mm pistol, 9 detonators, five gelatins, two kg ammonium nitrate and other materials from his possession.
