Malkangiri, Oct 20: With the death of one more kid named Asit Padiami on Thursday at the Malkangiri district headquarters hospital while undergoing treatment, the death toll due to Japanese Encephalitis has mounted to 61 in these 42 days.
Notably two children, identified as Ganesh Bisoi of Majhiguda village under Mathili block and Rina Soem of Bhajaguda village under Padia block in the district had succumbed to the disease on Wednesday.
