New Delhi, Dec 15: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday morning raided the office of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi government Secretariat.
In a series of tweets, Kejriwal himself announced this raid. “CBI raids my office. When Modi couldn’t handle me politically, he resorts to this cowardice. Modi is a coward and a psychopath,” said Kejriwal.

CBI officials told that it has registered a case against Rajendra Kumar, Secretary to the Delhi CM, on the allegation of abusing his official position by favouring a particular firm in the last few years in getting tenders from Delhi government departments. After taking warrants, searches are being conducted in the office and residence of Kumar. The allegation against Rajender Kumar were raised by Ashish Joshi, member Secy, Delhi dialogue Commission.
Speaking about the raid, an official from the CMO said, on the floor which houses Kejriwal’s office, only “two rooms, one of which is Kejriwal’s, have been raided with an official manning them”, refusing anyone entry. “This morning, as I came for work, I was denied entry despite being told I work here. They have virtually taken over the entire office and given us no reason for it,” sources of CM office said.
