Bhubaneswar: May 02: Not only in the Assembly, Both Congress and BJP organised demonstrations and rallies in different parts of Odisha today demanding removal of retired Justice MM das from the chit fund scam probe panel. Congress held demonstrations at district headquarters of the state whereas BJP held a rally in Cuttack.
BJP took out a rally from Buxi Bazaar party office in Cuttack and marched till Justice Das’s office in state police headquarters.
State BJP Vice President Nayan Kishore Mohanty said, ‘ What Justice MM das said at the BJD legal cell meeting, was just against the assignment Chairperson of the Commission is supposed to look after. So, we demand his resignation and appointment of a new Chairperson in his place.’
BJD, however, dismissed the demand.
