On the morning of the 15th, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan arrived at Balasore station and subsequently departed for Baripada to participate in governmental and several other events. Education Minister Pradhan had a warm reception from local inhabitants and party members at various locations along the route, including Balasore, Remuna, Badasahi, Morada, and Betanati.
Mr Pradhan inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several projects in Baripada during the visit. The Union Minister inaugurated the administrative building of the Mayurbhanj Athletic Association, the Baripada Chhau Pendal Project, and the renovation projects for Jubilee Park and Jhinjiri Dam in Baripada.
Pradhan stated that the double-engine government is committed to the development of Mayurbhanj district. The administrative edifice of the ‘Mayurbhanj Athletic Association’ in Baripada represents a significant advancement in fostering youthful talent and enhancing sports infrastructure. Chhau dance epitomises the cultural legacy of Mayurbhanj. The nearby field and the Baripada Chhau Pendal will be developed which will soon establish an exquisite infrastructure for Chhau dancing and other cultural events.
The rehabilitation of Jubilee Park and Jhinjiri Dam in Baripada, Mayurbhanj, would augment the city’s aesthetic appeal and establish it as a prominent tourist destination.
