Berhampur, Jan 20: Today the annual dolphin census at Chilika lake was conducted. Around 26 teams having five members in each team had been deployed for the census. 18 teams carried out the census in Chilika and the remaining eight teams conducted the census at Chilika sea beach. The head count began at 7 am today. In a similar manner, the dolphin census also began at Gahirmatha marine sanctuary in Bhitarkanika National Park today where nine teams comprising 25 members were deployed.
