Earthquake of 3.7 Magnitude Strikes Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh: An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 hit the Mandi district here on Sunday. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake struck the district at 8.42 am today.

The National Centre for Seismology has shared a post on Twitter (now X). “EQ of M: 3.7, On: 23/02/2025 08:42:35 IST, Lat: 31.48 N, Long: 76.95 E, Depth: 7 Km, Location: Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.”

This comes days after a 4-magnitude earthquake struck Delhi-NCR. Despite falling in the moderate category, the tremors were strong enough to shake houses and forced people in several high-rise buildings in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad to rush out.

The epicentre of the quake was in the Jheel Park area of Dhaula Kuan and there were some reports of people hearing a loud sound as the ground shook.
