Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: A 200 pages preliminary charge sheet has been filed by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Odisha Crime Branch, against the OSCAR chit fund company at the sub-divisional judicial magistrate court on Sunday which includes the names of Prabhas Rout, OSCAR chief, Muna Patra, director of OSCAR and six other persons.
Subject matter mentioned in the preliminary charge sheet will include Odia film industry link with the Ponzi firm, sources said. The builders’ link with OSCAR is most likely to be included in the next charge sheet.
It may be noted that, in June Crime Branch special team had arrested Prabhas Rout from Delhi. Around four Odia movies have been produced by Prabhas. He is also involved in real estate and infrastructure business.
As per the investigation report, around 58 OSCAR branch offices were opened in Gujarat through which the company had collected around Rs 100 crore.
