Estimated Cost for Jagmohan repair work approved by ASI

Puri, Jan 7: The cost estimated for portal steel frame for the repair of Jagmohan of the Sri Jagannath temple has been approved by the Archeology Survey of India’s (ASI) Director General. An affidavit regarding this has also been submitted to the Orissa High Court by the ASI.

As per the estimation, 71 tons of steel will be used for the portal steel framing for which Rs 3, 71, 71, 000 will be spent as per the estimation, informed Works Department’s Executive Engineer Niroj Kumar Das to media persons.

Soon, for the same, tenders will be initiated by the Works department. During the framing, portions of Bhandar Ghara and Ghata Seja Ghara will be dismantled.
