Explosive seized in Odisha, two held

Koraput, Sept 26

 

Police here arrested two persons for allegedly transporting around three quintals of explosive in semi-liquid form.

One of the arrested persons was identified as Subala

Choudhury, a resident of Chhattisgarh.

Choudhury had lodged a complaint in Koraput Town police station on September 16 saying that his SUV had been stolen.

During search, the vehicle was found with the

explosive near Tota Ambaguda village Jungle on Friday.

Choudhury, who claimed to be working for a vernacular daily in Chhattisgarh, has admitted to have taken the explosive from Semiliguda.

Police is investigating to find out whether there is any link with Naxals.
