Kalahandi, May 27: Tension aroused at Bijmara in Kalahandi after irate farmers blocked the road today, demanding the local markets to expedite procurement process.
The farmers blocked the road with gunny bags filled with paddy.
Notably, the farmers allege that the market yard staff and the middlemen by pointing reasons of high moisture content in the paddy, are harassing the farmers by reducing certain weight from each quintal paddy.
