Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: With the fifth and final phase of the three-tier panchayat elections ending yesterday, the results are out, though not officially and not completely, but yes they are. While the ruling BJD has bagged 70 Zilla Parishad zones, BJP has won 57 and congress with a marginal 15 zones.

Taking about the five-phase polling, it seems BJD has again emerged as the supreme power in the state taking over the complete coastal zone. While state BJP’s undoubtful win over the central and western zone has made a mark to a second position.

While the BJD is in position to form Zilla parishads at 13 zones (unofficial), the situation is still not clear in zones in Rayagada, Sundargarh and Nabarangpur districts.

Still after BJD’s unofficial win, BJP’s dominance in the western Odisha except some, the later is expecting a 8/30 win, which is a great comeback.
