Puri, May 3: Today at a time of an eviction drive in a slum here carried out by the district administration, 10 houses caught fire at Baliapanda here. For rescue, a fire brigade team immediately rushed to the spot to put off the flames. It is doubted that some miscreants set ablaze to the houses when the district administration was carrying out the demolition drive in the slum. To avoid any unwanted situation here, one platoon of police has been deployed to the area. Investigation into the incident is also going on and stringent action will be initiated against the guilty. It may be noted that the eviction drive was carried on for the development of a park in the area.
