Brajarajnagar, Oct 24: On Sunday, a fire break out, possibly due to electric short circuit, in the X-Ray room was reported at the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) Central Hospital in Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district.

As per reports, the incident was noticed as the smoke due to the fire started billowing from the X-Ray room which was closed at the time of the incident.

The MCL’s fire tenders immediately reached the spot and got the fire under control before it could spread to other parts of the hospital. Fortunately, the incident did not result in a massive fire outbreak and did cause any casualties as the X- Ray room is located at a good distance from the hospital’s wards housing patients.

However, the fire break out has caused extensive damage to the equipment inside the X-Ray room.
